Construction inspection

The Ohio Building Code requires the owner or the owner's representative, rather than the contractor, to retain approved construction inspectors for designated work. Reserves provides qualified inspection personnel and the field documentation the project requires.

Assignment & qualification

How inspection personnel are assigned

Inspection personnel are assigned according to the project scope, the approved inspection program, the governing code, the required credentials, and jurisdictional acceptance. Availability varies by discipline and assignment, and requirements are confirmed during scope review before work begins.

Structural steel, bolting & weldingErection, high-strength bolting, and visual welding inspection performed by appropriately qualified personnel when the required credentials are available for the assignment. Nondestructive examination is coordinated through qualified partners.
Fireproofing & firestopInspection performed in accordance with project requirements by appropriately qualified personnel
Post-tensionTendon placement, anchorage, and stressing observation by appropriately qualified personnel
Post-installed anchorsInstallation observation and testing coordination as specified
Soils & controlled fillPlacement, compaction, and fill observation
Deep foundationsInstallation observation, including helical piles and micropiles
